Stats on first round

I, like everyone else, am not totally sure what everything will be used for, but here are the stats on my new babies.

Female Basic Equylon : Proudna(R1) M2/P1/L6
Male Basic Flufluf : Popple(R1) M6/P1/L1 - Trait: Lucky Bonus
Male Basic Ibstomp : Smuncher(R1) M1/P6/L4
Female Basic Pendle : Oceaoca(R1) M6/P2/L1

I am sort of confused with the rarity thing, as I have seen on the Community market a Flufluf and a Pendle with Rarity 2. So rarity isn't by breed? They didn't have anything else going for them, unless it counts hidden genetics???

I will reflect on that once I have more info.
